An Apology and an Announcement
The ugly thing about not writing is that, after a while, it becomes natural, and next thing you know, you haven’t posted on your blog in over four months. I could blame the usual suspects (school, etc.), and while they sure didn’t help, this is very much my own doing. Sorry for the lack of update, really.
The good news is that I’m back on the saddle, as they say. I’ve actually decided to start a new blog, for a number of reasons, but primarily because this one has become kind of a bastardized thing with no clear purpose. Over the past year or so, it’s turned into a blog dedicated primarily to cinema, with the occasional unrelated post. While I love writing those, they felt more and more out of place.
My new blog, therefore, will be entirely dedicated to cinema (after thinking about calling it “Attack the Blog” for a while, I’ve settled on “Acid Cinema,” because apparently I’m more self-referential than an episode of Community). I’ll repost the occasional entry from this blog, but it will mostly be new content, hopefully on a more regular basis than here.
I haven’t decided yet what will happen with this blog. I might post non cinema-related things every once in a while, or I might just let it disappear into internet oblivion. We’ll see.
Anyway, here’s the new blog. It’s a work in progress, so if you have any comment about the design (or anything else), don’t hesitate to post (either here or there).

Seriously, though, if the new blog means we’ll get more posts from you, all the better. My blog is also a mishmag of stuff, but I think that accurately reflects me and my interests (though I want to write less about cinema, and more about the writing process. I also want to post more original literature).
En tant que lecteur, je tiens à dire que les posts que j’ai préféré lire sur ce blog (et le précédent) n’étaient pas des critiques de film. Je ne tiens pas à dire par là que lesdites critiques sont de mauvaise qualité, mais simplement que je les voyais plus, à tort peut-être, comme une façon de garder une régularité dans l’écriture, un exercice se rattachant au nulle dies sine linea, que des fins en soi.
Surtout qu’on attend encore l’histoire plagiée avec le moine bouddhiste et son iPad.
C’est un peu les deux, en fait. C’est effectivement quelque chose que j’avais un peu conçu comme un moyen d’écrire régulièrement (ce qui n’a pas forcément très bien fonctionné), mais c’est aussi quelque chose que j’aime beaucoup faire. Cela dit, je reviendrai sans doute ici de temps en temps pour poster d’autres choses.
Et j’attendais que tu mentionnes cette histoire. Il faudrait effectivement au moins que je te la raconte, c’est assez incroyable de bêtise.
Au sujet du work in progress : je n’ai pas trouvé le fil RSS (bon, j’ai rentré directement l’URL dans Google Reader, mais quand même)
Et les boutons +1 de G+ ne sont pas intégrés :p
J’ai rajouté un bouton pour le RSS feed (bien vu). Pour G+, je suis en train de regardé, mais j’ai l’impression que ça n’est pas intégré. Je ne suis pas non plus très doué, donc il est tout à fait possible que j’ai manqué ça (il y a de base un bouton pour que n’importe qui puisse partager un article sur Facebook ou Twitter, mais il n’y a pas l’équivalent G+ non plus, donc ça me conforte quand même pas mal dans l’idée que ça ne serait pas encore intégré).
